The store at 2637 East Avenue submitted a preliminary application to change their zoning from Commercial to Mixed Use so they can build housing on the property. This is does not conform to the Fairview Specific Plan. This is the only property in Fairview that is zoned commercial.
This proposal will be presented at our Fairview MAC as an informational item at the September 5 meeting. This is Just the first step in the process. This gives our community a chance to express our opinion on this plan.
Fairview Community Club will be having a meeting regarding this at East Avenue Park (3221 East Avenue) Saturday August 26 at 9 am. Please come and learn more and express your thoughts on this matter.
